Affirming our commitment to advocacy of human rights , organizations, groups and individuals undersigned consider it essential that Congress debated and sanction the project Law Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy -developed by the National Campaign for the Right to Abortion Legal, Safe and Free ", submitted with signatures of 50 deputies / os a broad political spectrum, because this is a debt that Democracy has to women in Argentina. 
Decriminalization and legalization of abortion is a social justice issue , because the wrong street abortion without proper sanitation, endangers the lives and health of girls and women poorer. Sentence to death hundreds of women each year in our country, being the leading cause of maternal mortality in Argentina. The criminalization of abortion does not prevent the practice, as evidenced by the completion of about half a million abortions a year. Legalization does not force anyone to practice, however, guarantee decent conditions of sanitation, safe and free to all women who decide to terminate a pregnancy. And recognizes the full authority, ability and the right of women to solve the dilemma of an unwanted pregnancy and not be subjected to forced maternity. A secular, democratic state must guarantee freedom and respect for the beliefs of all people and it is your responsibility to devise and effectively implement public policies that guarantee the right to the overall health of women.
