"Cinema, Women and Health"

The Ministry of Health of the Nation in conjunction with the Organization P anamericana Health, the Institute National Cancer Institute and the National Film and Audiovisual Arts ( INCAA ) launched the competition shorts "Cinema, Women and Health" , with the aim of sensitizing the community in cancer prevention cervix.

Until June 15 , producers as, movie makers audiovisual students / career as film, drawing and animation have time to submit draft implementation of gender fiction, documentary, animation or experimental.

The initiative promotes local content production to raise awareness, prevent and promote topics related to the health of women throughout the country.

The projects should take into account any of the following topics:
  • Prevention of cervical cancer through PAP (Papanicolaou).
  • Importance of monitoring and treatment of women with abnormal PAP .
  • prevention of cervical cancer as women's right .
  • Barriers faced by women in accessing services to prevent cervical cancer.
  • experiences of women diagnosed with HPV (human papillomavirus), productions that aim to demystify what is meant by a diagnosis of HPV, its symptoms and treatment.


The projects are divided into two categories:
